Managing your apprenticeship studies

Ready Skills is a digital portal that supports you to achieve your selected qualification. The system keeps all information in one place and you can login anytime to see your progress.

When and how will you use it?

The Ready Skills system will prompt you to complete certain tasks in the right order:

  1. Set up your account
You will receive an email titled ‘Your Ready Skills Account’. Follow the instructions to login with your TAFE SA single sign-on.

  2. Review and sign your training plan
A key part of your contract is to decide what you will learn and when. Review and sign the training plan when you receive the email telling you it is ready.

If you are under 18 years old, or if you are a school-based apprentice / trainee, parent/guardian or
school representative will also need to sign the training plan.

  3. Call ups
Before the start of each semester Ready Skills will send a call up notice with information about your classes.  You need to enrol via MyTAFE SA as soon as you can. Refer to how to register for instructions.

  4. Training plan review
Every six months you have an opportunity to review your training plan and check your progress. You will be able to confirm everything is on track or make a request if something should change.

  5. Profiling (where applicable)
If Profiling (evidence submission) is being used, you will enter photos, video and comments about tasks you have done while at work.
