Pathways to University

You might think you have to follow a certain path to study at university, but there is another way.

TAFE SA offers more than 50 dual offer courses in partnership with South Australian public universities.

With dual offer courses, you are accepted into both a TAFE SA qualification and a connected university program. This means that once you complete your TAFE SA course successfully, you have guaranteed entry – with credit – into university.

Studying a dual offer course is a great way to set yourself apart from other graduates.

You will benefit from TAFE SA’s vocational experience and insights, as well as graduating with two qualifications instead of one.

TAFE SA to Uni Credit Transfer

TAFE SA has many credit transfer agreements with universities for TAFE SA graduates. Gaining university credit for the related study you have undertaken at TAFE SA can reduce the time and fees usually required to complete a Bachelor degree.

To claim credit, you must formally apply to the university in accordance with their processes.

Being eligible for credit does not guarantee that you will be offered a place in a university program. Credit will normally be granted after you have been offered a place.

Flinders University Foundation Studies

The Flinders Foundation Studies program provides a pathway into a Flinders University degree and is available to eligible applicants at no cost.
The Foundation Studies Program is delivered across a number of metropolitan and regional TAFE SA campuses, providing students with the opportunity to commence studies at a location that best suits their needs.

Pathways to TAFE SA

You can use your previous study at a university or other registered tertiary education provider to gain credit or recognition towards a TAFE SA award course.

You can access the formal credit agreements or you may request to have previously gained knowledge, skills and experience assessed on a case-by-case basis through a recognition of prior learning process.

Degrees at TAFE SA

TAFE SA delivers higher education programs, both independently and through partnership with other higher education providers. In fact, TAFE SA has delivered Bachelor Degrees and Associate Degrees in specialised areas since 1997.

These degrees have provided students with the opportunity to study applied vocationally based higher education qualifications in a more facilitated learning environment. TAFE SA Associate Degrees are also designed to give you full credit into a related Bachelor Degree at a University.
