Located in modern facilities in the heart of Adelaide, TAFE SA’s English Language Centre (ELC) offers affordable, intensive English language programs tailored to international students. You do not have to be going on to study a TAFE SA course to study at our Language Centre.
If you are an international student on a student visa, a working holiday visa or tourist visa, TAFE SA intensive English language courses will develop your English skills for:

Courses for International Students
Short courses for international students
If you are an international student, you can undertake short courses to assist with your English language and academic success in your course, whether you are a TAFE SA student or studying with another provider. They can be studied at the same time as your course as they are part-time, usually 2.5 hours per week, in the evening.
TAFE SA international students may be eligible for a 10% discount on these English short courses, please contact the International Unit for details.

English Pathway Programs
English for Academic Purposes (EAP) 20
University of South Australia: Students who have successfully gained a credit result in the TAFE SA English for Academic Purposes (20 weeks) are assumed to have the equivalent of an overall IELTS score of 6.0.
Flinders University: Students who have successfully gained a credit result in the TAFE SA English for Academic Purposes (EAP 20) are assumed to have the equivalent of an overall IELTS score of 6.0 with 6 in all sub bands
English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Advanced
University of Adelaide: Students who have successfully completed the TAFE SA English for Academic Purposes (20 weeks) are assumed to have the equivalent of an overall IELTS score of 6.5.
Flinders University: Students who have successfully gained a Pass result in the TAFE SA English for Academic Purposes Advanced are assumed to have the equivalent of an overall IELTS score of 6.5 with 6 in all sub bands and Students who have successfully gained a Credit result in the TAFE SA English for Academic Purposes Advanced are assumed to have the equivalent of an overall IELTS score of 7.0 with 6.5 in all sub bands
University of South Australia: Students who have successfully gained a P result or higher in the TAFE SA English for Academic Purposes Advanced are assumed to have the equivalent of an overall IELTS score of 6.5.
