A great introductory course in the wonderful world of pottery for anyone who fancies getting creative and their hands dirty!
You will learn to centre clay on the wheel and master the art of throwing cylinders and owl forms.
Gain confidence in turning and explore a variety of decorative techniques. The workshops feature engaging demonstrations, practical tips, and personalised guidance from our experienced lecturers.
At the completion of the course, you will have your own glazed pots and bowls ready to proudly take home.
Who’s it for?
This course is for the complete novice, who would like to understand and gain some practical skills around clay and wheel throwing.
What you need to know?
This is an evening course delivered at Adelaide College of Arts in Light Square, Adelaide.
- Course cost includes clay, use of wheel and tools, firing and materials for decorating and glazing.
- Bring a sketchbook or notepad, pen and pencil, some basic tools, a small hand towel, and an apron.
- Dress in loose, casual clothing with closed footwear, and hair tied back.
