TAFE SA and Flinders University offer the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Visual Arts) as a dual award program. Gain a comprehensive grounding in the practical and theoretical aspects of contemporary visual arts practice. Develop your critical and creative thinking skills with a strong focus on practical skills development in studio disciplines including ceramics, jewellery, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture.
This program embeds the Advanced Diploma of Visual Arts within the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Visual Arts) and offers recognised exit qualifications at each year level, making this an incredibly portable and flexible program of study. Further study options include an Honours year, or our six-month Creative Incubator program.
At TAFE SA, students can complete a Visual Arts qualification while they are studying Year 10, 11 or 12, by studying a Certificate III in Visual Arts. Students will gain valuable points towards further courses as well as their SACE. This program is offered one day per week to fit into school studies.
We welcome secondary students to participate in an opportunity to experiment in different art studios and work with artists through our Visual Arts High School Experience Days which take place each semester. School groups are preferred.
