This skill set provides the basic skills, knowledge and understanding on what it is like to start a career in the bread baking industry. Students will develop skills in producing a variety of sweet yeast products including croissants and brioche, savoury bread products and artisan bread products including sourdough breads. Basic computer skills are recommended to navigate the online learning platform and complete the knowledge and practical assessments for each accredited unit. A bakers uniform and equipment set must be purchased prior to the course. Approximate cost for uniform is $102 & $315 for equipment. Further information on items required and where to purchase will be sent to students once registration is received. South Australian State Government funding subsidies apply for this course.
