FBPSS00002 - Bread baking for pastry cooks skill set EOI

Description

This skill set provides the basic skills, knowledge and understanding on what it is like to start a career in the bread baking industry.

Students will develop skills in producing a variety of sweet yeast products including croissants and brioche, savoury bread products and artisan bread products including sourdough breads. Basic computer skills are recommended to navigate the online learning platform and complete the knowledge and practical assessments for each accredited unit.

A bakers uniform and equipment set must be purchased prior to the course. Approximate cost for uniform is $102 & $315 for equipment. Further information on items required and where to purchase will be sent to students once registration is received.

South Australian State Government funding subsidies apply for this course. Eligibility criteria apply. The full course cost applies for students who are not eligible for State Government funding subsidies. Check your eligibility here: www.mytraining.skills.sa.gov.au

Short Course Delivery Locations Some short courses can provide accreditation for industry-specific registration, while others merely provide skills and knowledge in the subject area. Concession prices are available for some courses.

Cost Information
This delivery is offered under South Australian Government funding subsidies. You might be eligible for subsidised training if you live or work in South Australia, and are: an Australian or New Zealand Citizen; a Permanent Australian Resident or an eligible Visa holder and are 16 years of age or over. Secondary school students are not eligible for subsidised funding. For those ineligible for State Government subsidies, the full course cost of $1700 will apply.
