Have you ever considered a job as a fashion or textiles machinist, sewing fashion garments through to industrial textiles?

With industry partnerships like South Australian fashion icon R.M. Williams, demand for sewing skills has never been higher. During this course you’ll get to visit the R.M. Williams facility and be inspired by R.M Williams guest speaker with extensive fashion industry experience.

This course will equip you with entry level sewing skills on an industrial sewing machine so you can start your career in fashion. You’ll also learn about machine maintenance to keep the machine performing at its best.
No previous sewing skills are required.

COURSE CONTENT
> Perform industrial sewing on different textile products.
> Set up, adjust and maintain industrial sewing machines.
> Hear from R.M. Williams guest speaker with extensive fashion industry experience and take a tour of the R.M. Williams facilities.

For workshop safety you must adhere to the following policies:
- Dress code: shoes with a low heel and enclosed toes
- Long hair must be tied back
- Please refrain from wearing any long, loose or overly large jewellery
- No food or drink is permitted in work areas except bottled water
- No personal music devices are to be used in workshops or while operating machines.
