Discover the art of jewellery making in this six-week evening program. Start by learning essential skills—cutting, shaping, soldering, and finishing metal—then apply them to create a silver ring and settings so you can expand your skills to stone-set rings.
Who’s it for?
Ideal for beginners or creative enthusiasts keen to try their hand at silversmithing. No prior experience required, just bring your imagination!
What you'll learn?
Sawing, filing, soldering, polishing
Ring sizing and forming
Surface finishing
Constructing straight bezel and tapered claw settings
Using multiple grades of solder
Assembly of settings to rings
Stone fitting and final finishing
What you need to know?
• Six weeks, 2.5 hrs per session
• No experience needed—ideal for beginners
• Gemstones (approx. $5–$10) and silver (approx. $20) recommended
• Starter tools provided; bring your own if possible
• Affordable brass options available
• Closed shoes required; hair tied back
