Description
Join us for some action packed cooking classes for budding chefs of the future.
All classes will involve the preparation of a range of sweet and savoury dishes and will be taught by professional chefs in our world-class training facilities. All prepared food will be available to be taken home, unless consumed beforehand.
Participants in ‘The Kids Kitchen’ will be divided into age groups (numbers permitting) for their classes.
Kids Kitchen usually runs in the first week of the April, July and October school holidays. Enrolments open approximately one month out from the course start date.

Mini Master Bakers
Shout out to all the kid bakers in Mount Gambier. Join for a fun filled class. From mixing bowls to baking trays, young chefs will gain confidence as they create warm, flavourful treats straight from the oven. You will learn how to make:
-Funfetti Butter Cakes.
-Candied Fruit.
-Pistachio Papi & White Chocolate Pressed Croissants.
IMPORTANT: this class will have nuts so this class in not suitable for children with nuts or gluten allergies

Kids will whisk, mix, and bake their way through a tasty savoury workshop filled with crispy edges, warm flavours, and fun hands-on techniques:
- Cheese Straws – Flaky, buttery twists packed with savoury crunch.
- Mini Quiche – Soft, golden bites with a creamy, kid friendly filling.
- Zucchini Slice – A wholesome classic, tender and perfectly baked.

Whisk, shape, roll and decorate your way through a magical baking session! These three classics deliver big flavour and even bigger smiles:
- Melting Moments – Buttery, crumbly sandwich cookies piped to perfection.
- Easter Bunny Cupcakes – Fluffy cupcakes transformed into cute, festive treat
- Cheesy Vegetable Sausage Rolls – Yummy pastry filled with a savoury mix of vegetables and melted cheese, baked to a golden, fabulous finish.
With creativity, careful measuring, and plenty of decorating fun, this session is perfect for young bakers building their pastry skills.

Get ready to scoop, swirl, and bake in this sweet, joy filled workshop! Kids will explore big flavours and fluffy textures while creating delicious patty pan favourites:
- Salted Caramel Chocolate Cupcakes – Rich, moist cupcakes with a sweet meets salty twist.
- Blueberry Muffins – Light, fruity, and bursting with juicy berries.
- Carrot cupcakes - Decadent carrot cupcakes topped with a rich, velvety swirl of tangy-sweet cream cheese frosting.
With playful decorating, irresistible aromas, and confidence building baking skills, this session is perfect for young bakers ready to shine.

Let’s bring the fiesta to the kitchen! Kids will explore bold, colourful ingredients as they build their own Mexican inspired favourites:
- Taco Bar – Choose your own fillings, fresh toppings, and crunchy or soft shells.
- Mexican Rocky Road Brownie – A fun twist on a classic, packed with texture and chocolate.

Chocolate lovers, unite! Kids will stir, fold, and bake their way through a decadent trio of chocolatey creations packed with rich flavours and fun techniques:
- Chocolate Raspberry Banana Bread – Moist, fruity, and dotted with pops of chocolate.
- Chocolate Chip Cookies – Crispy on the outside, chewy in the centre—an all-time favourite.
- Pistachio, cranberry & choc truffles - rich, bite-sized indulgences combining creamy chocolate with crunchy pistachios and cranberries for a perfect balance of sweetness and texture.

- Tuna Hand Roll – A simple, tasty classic.
