Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting

National Code: MEM40422
TAFE SA Code: TP01471

Description

Develop the specialised skills needed to create detailed engineering drawings and design documentation for a wide range of engineering and manufacturing applications.
This course is designed for people seeking a career in engineering design, drafting and technical support roles. You'll gain industry-relevant skills in computer-aided design (CAD), 3D modelling, technical drawing and engineering documentation, preparing you to contribute to engineering projects across a range of industries. Through practical learning, you'll develop the ability to interpret technical information, apply mathematical principles, and produce accurate engineering drawings and models that support the manufacture, construction and maintenance of equipment, structures and systems. You'll also build skills in organising and communicating technical information and working within professional engineering environments. Engineering draftspersons play a vital role in transforming engineering concepts into detailed drawings and digital models that can be used for production, construction and installation.
