Description
This course prepares you for the following certification exam:
Cisco Certified Network Associate (200–301 CCNA)
This is the second course in the CCNA curriculum. The course focuses on switching technologies and router operations that support small-to-medium business networks, including wireless local area networks (WLAN) and security concepts. It teaches you to perform basic network configuration and troubleshooting, identify and mitigate LAN security threats, and configure and secure a basic WLAN.
-Work with routers, switches and wireless devices to configure and troubleshoot VLANs, Wireless LANs and Inter-VLAN routing
-Configure and troubleshoot redundancy on a switched network using STP and EtherChannel
-Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills
-Explain how to support available and reliable networks using dynamic addressing and first-hop redundancy protocols
Course Recognitions: Student may complete ONE final theory exam to obtain a Certificate of Completion, Letter of Merit, Digital Badge
Certification exams can be booked through Pearson Vue Test Centres located in Adelaide. In some cases, vouchers for the certification exam may be available through TAFE SA at no additional cost (otherwise students will need to pay for the cost of the certification exam themselves).
