Introduction to Electronic Music Production

Description

This 5 week introductory course is aimed at beginners wanting to gain an overview of the music production process and Ableton Live software. The course delivers essential information on Ableton Live and an overview of broader production concepts. During the course you will create your own electronic music track.

The course will be delivered by an industry professional in our current EMP Computer lab with access to Ableton Live Suite software, MIDI Controller keyboards and headphones.

Subjects covered include:
- Ableton overview
- Creating Drums
- Creating basslines and melodies
- MIDI
- Sampling
- Audio editing
- Mixing
- Effects
- Arranging

Please wear neat casual clothing with fully enclosed shoes.

Please bring a USB flash drive.
