Description

If you have your plumbers licence but completed your Certificate III in Plumbing prior to 2012 it is likely that you do not hold the pre-requisite units that are required before you can undertake the Short Course - Commission and Maintain Backflow Prevention Devices.

This short course has been developed to allow individuals to complete the required pre-requisites prior to undertaking the Commission & Maintain Backflow Prevention Devices short course. The course includes the pre-requisite units:

. Carry out WHS requirements
. Install backflow prevention devices

Once registered you will be provided with access to TAFE SA's LEARN environment to complete the unit 'Carry out WHS requirements'. You will have access and support from a Plumbing Lecturer and will need to complete the course within five (5) weeks from the date of your registration.

Once completed the Short Course team will be notified and will be in contact with you to support your registration into the next available Commission & Maintain Backflow Prevention Devices short course. On the first day of that course you will undertake a practical assessment, supported by your lecturer, to finalise all pre-requisite requirements.
