    Qualifications & Skills Covered

    Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations (RII30820)
    This course provides skills in communication and organisation, measurements and calculations, interpreting plans and specifications, manual excavation, plant operations, basic levelling, hand and power tools and workplace safety.
    To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 15 core units and 5 elective units. Please note:

    • Mt Barker campus is used for both training and coordination purposes and training may be undertaken at alternative TAFE SA campus locations through negotiation (ie Pt Augusta, Pt Pirie, Tonsley, Murray Bridge, Regency) or on-site at employer premises where deemed suitable.
      Apprentice/Employer workplace location are considered for any alternative campus delivery to try and minimise travel impacts and delivery details are confirmed in advance via the Apprentice Call-up Notice.

    Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
