Industry Collaboration Award for TAFE SA

TAFE SA joined with Mossop Construction & Interiors, the South Australian Department of Correctional Services, and Totalspace Design as part of the ‘U-Turn Construction Pathways Program’ which won the Industry Collaboration Award at the SA Training Awards in 2018.

As part of this project women in prison are gaining construction qualifications through an innovative infrastructure project to upgrade the Adelaide Women's Prison's main accommodation block. It has so far seen 5 women successfully transition into the community with opportunities they would never have pursued before this program.
