Ready Skills is a digital portal that keeps all Apprentice and Trainee administration in one place. It streamlines training plan management and gives easy access to information.
As an Employer you will regularly receive Ready Skills emails relating to each stage; from signing the initial training plan, reviews and receiving call ups, to tracking on-job works so you can help students achieve their qualification in the expected time.
This portal will connect all three parties to the contract and support your training duties.
The Ready Skills system will prompt you to do certain tasks in order.
Set up your accountYou will receive an email titled ‘Your Ready Skills Account’. Follow the instructions to set up and log in.
Review and sign the training planA key part of the contract is deciding what your apprentice will learn and when. Review and sign the training plan when you receive the email telling you it is ready.
Call upsBefore the start of each semester, you will receive a copy of the call up notice that is sent to the student with information about their classes. This is so you know when the Apprentice/Trainee has classes at TAFE SA.
Training plan reviewEvery six months you have an opportunity to check the Apprentice’s progress against their training plan and give feedback if you think something should change.
Profiling (where applicable)If Profiling (evidence submission) is being used, you will review the Apprentices photos, video and comments about tasks they have done while working with you. How to approve profiling entries using the mobile app
