TAFE SA is committed to fair and transparent admission processes by providing applicants with all information, including any rights and obligations to enable applicants to make informed enrolment decisions ensuring that course and subject selections align with their overall objectives.    

Prior to enrolling individuals will:  

  • Have access to information about their course, including the training product code and title, duration, modes of delivery, training delivery location, training commencement dates and scheduling. 
  • Be offered advice/counselling to determine whether the course is suitable for them, including support for academic success and alternative pathways, if required. 
  • Have their existing skills and knowledge reviewed, in accordance with the Course Admission Requirements, including language, literacy, numeracy proficiency, and digital literacy.  
  • Be informed of any licencing and/or assessment requirements to commence or complete the course and details of any third-party arrangements that apply to the delivery of the training.  
  • Be provided with information regarding training and wellbeing support services that are available at TAFE SA, and how the student can access those services. 
  • Be informed of all fees, costs and charges associated with the provision of the training product which may incur, including payment terms and conditions, any applicable refund policies and the availability of any relevant government training entitlements and subsidies. 
  • Be advised of any obligations to acquire any materials, equipment or IT, any costs and processes associated with withdrawing from training, and/or obtaining a Student Identifier.  
  • Be provided with information regarding course participation, academic progression expectations and any requirements for VET students to undertake work placements. 

The courses and number of training places able to be offered will be determined by the TAFE SA Training Profile and class quotas to balance demand with capacity.
