Art therapy is a form of expressive therapy that uses creative techniques such as drawing, painting, coloring and sculpting to improve your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. This therapeutic technique focuses on the benefits of the creative art process for stress relief, self-confidence, self-awareness and increased interpersonal relations.
This course will explore art therapy; what it is and how it can be applied to your personal or professional life. You will learn how to enhance and promote your own wellbeing through group discussions and hands on exercises, while discovering how to use your creativity to encourage change and growth.
You'll walk away with a new understanding of art therapy, a reflective insight into your own wellbeing, and an understanding of how you can harness your unconscious and conscious mind to improve yourself both personally and professionally.
No previous art experience is required.
This course is recommended for those aged 21 and over due to the reflective and emotional nature of the content.
