Description
This course introduces the computer hardware and software skills needed to meet the growing demand for entry-level information and communication technology (ICT) professionals. The course covers the fundamentals of PC technology, troubleshooting, PC maintenance, installation of Operating Systems and printers, security and the techniques of becoming a successful IT Technician.
Core Skills:
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computers and mobile devices.
- Identify common security threats like phishing and spoofing.
- Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills using both real equipment and Cisco Packet Tracer.
- Prepare for CompTIA A+ Certification.
This course is intended for people who want to learn learn how computers work, how to assemble computers, and how to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
This course is at an intermediate level.
The course is offered in partnership with Cisco Networking Academy.
