SHORT COURSE

Wiring Rules Refresher - AS3000 2018 Update

Description

This short course aims to provide qualified electricians returning to trade or seeking to remain updated on the recent changes to AS3000:2018 as part of their professional currency.

The course focuses on revision of the topics included within the Australian Wiring Rules, through scenarios and tutorial questions that require interpretation and reasoning to be given. The scenarios and questions have been designed to expose areas where the standards have recently changed, providing students with opportunities to explore where these changes may affect their trade practice.

Access to the standards is provided to students through the TAFE SA online platform. Access will be provided upon enrolment into the course. Please contact TAFE SA Electrical if you require a hard copy of AS3000:2018.

To undertake this course, you must currently hold or have held in the past 10 years an Unrestricted Unsupervised Electrical Workers Registration (Electrical Licence).

The majority of the course will be completed online with a number of non-compulsory sessions held at the TAFE SA Tonsley campus to provide students with an opportunity to discuss any questions. Dates for the on-campus sessions will be determined throughout the duration of the course, as required.
