SHORT COURSE

Swimwear Design

Description

Would you like to learn how to design and create your own swimwear?

Taught by Natalie Ivanov, founder of sustainable swimwear label, Re-Swim Club, and TAFE SA fashion graduate, this course has been developed for those wanting to build on their existing sewing skills and learn the basics of making swimwear. At the end of the course you will have designed and created your very own custom, made to measure swimwear.

Throughout the course you will learn correct measuring techniques, pattern drafting and construction. You will also learn the techniques required for stretch fabrics used in swimwear design.

Students will be required to purchase lycra to make the swimwear. This will be discussed with the lecturer after enrolment.

TAFE SA will supply domestic sewing machines and other required materials.
