Learn the basic elements of a music audition and gain confidence in auditions and performances in this evening short course.
The course will focus on repertoire requirements, technical skills relating to your specific instrument or voice, musicianship, theory knowledge and appropriate audition etiquette. The topics covered will help you to develop the required skills for your next music audition and can also help you to prepare for the audition component of the course admission requirements for the Certificate III in Music Industry (Performance) [CUA30915], Certificate IV in Music Industry (Performance) [CUA40915] or Diploma of Music Industry (Performance) [CUA50815].
The evening will cover discussion on how best to meet the requirements of the audition and may also include performance/demonstration aspects, as well as feedback from the lecturer on presentation, skills, appropriate pieces of music, and more.
The topics covered are relevant to all musical instrument and voice auditions.
Microphones, amplifiers, keyboards and drum kits are supplied by TAFE SA.
