This course has been developed to adopt new requirements within the Onsite Wastewater Code being introduced to South Australia, supporting Local Councils, SA Health, the wastewater industry and homeowners improve the standard of servicing and maintenance of aerobic wastewater treatment systems. No refunds apply unless the course is cancelled by TAFE SA. International students on a Student visa (subclass 500) are not eligible to undertake short courses.
Aimed at the service technician this course will review a number of different manufacturers systems, fault diagnostic tests and their interpretation, routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of faulty or failing systems.
The course involves hands-on practical exercises to consolidate knowledge and develop skills. There will be a strong emphasis on practical and field based learning with approximately half of the course time spent on troubleshooting exercises and looking at and working on a wide variety of aerobic wastewater treatment systems on site. The course includes testing, inspecting, fault finding and rectifying operating systems.
This course is recognised and endorsed by SA Health.
