This course is for holders of an unrestricted electrical licence who wish to add grid connect with storage install and design to their existing accreditation. This course will provide you with the necessary skills and required photovoltaic (PV) system knowledge units of competency to install and commission grids with battery storage systems. Learn how to select and match components, design, install and commission grids with battery storage systems to Australian Standards and industry guidelines, charge controllers, find faults, detail the expected savings or costs of installing the system, and understand batteries and battery-based inverters and standards and regulations.
Prior to undertaking training, you must ensure that you have met the pre-requisites as outlined by the Clean Energy Council (CEC). A list of the requirements is available at www.solaraccreditation.com.au/installers/becoming-accredited.html
You may be able to obtain these units of competency through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer (CT). Holders of an electrical license or Electrical/Electronics Degree are given credit for these units.
