If you are looking to add grid connect design to your existing Clean Energy Council (CEC) grid connect install accreditation, this course will provide you with the necessary skills and required photovoltaic (PV) system knowledge units of competency to design grid-connected systems. Learn how to select and match components, design a grid-connected PV system to Australian Standards and CEC guidelines and provide expected monthly and yearly estimates of the system output for specific sites.
Prior to undertaking training, you must ensure that you have met the pre-requisites as outlined by the Clean Energy Council (CEC). A list of the requirements is available at www.solaraccreditation.com.au/installers/becoming-accredited.html
You may be able to obtain these units of competency through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer (CT). Holders of an electrical license or Electrical/Electronics Degree are given credit for these units
Note: Subsidised training may be available through sources such as the CITB or the Industry Skills Fund.
