Artificial Insemination of Livestock (Cattle)

Description

This course is specifically designed to help you gain a greater understanding of the AI process and be able to undertake AI on your own cows. If you are interested in becoming an AI technician this course is a good starting point, however you will need to undertake further training after completion of this course. It is advised that you have more than 12 months on farm experience and be able to implement the new AI skills on farm as soon as practical.

Topics covered:
- Assist with artificial insemination procedures
- Artificially inseminate livestock
- Coordinate artificial insemination and fertility management of livestock

*Please wear appropriate clothing - Wet weather gear, apron and rubber boots* (Please also bring a change of clothes as you may be getting dirty)

Bring morning tea, lunch and water.
