Description

The course introduces the architecture, structure, functions, components, and models of the Internet and other computer networks, switching technologies and router operations that support small-to-medium business networks, including wireless local area networks (WLAN) and security concepts, the architectures and considerations related to designing, securing, operating, and troubleshooting enterprise networks.

This course is intended for people who want to gain experience with cisco routing and switching devices

This course is at an advanced level.

  • A basic understanding of IP addressing and network fundamentals
  • This course prepares you for the following certification exams:

    - Cisco Certified Network Associate (200 – 301 CCNA)
    - TestOut Routing and Switching Pro

    The Cisco Certified Network Associate (200 – 301 CCNA) certification exam can be booked through Pearson Vue Test Centre located in Adelaide. You will need to pay for the cost of the certification exam yourself.

    TestOut Routing and Switching Pro certification exam may be booked through TAFE SA at no additional cost (First attempt only). The exams are conducted only once at the end of every term.

Short Course Delivery Locations Some short courses can provide accreditation for industry-specific registration, while others merely provide skills and knowledge in the subject area. Concession prices are available for some courses.
