MARSS00017 - Coxswains Grade 1 Skill Set

Description

This Skill Set is for individuals who work as a Coxswain Grade 2 in the maritime industry and want to progress to a Coxswain Grade 1.


This Skill Set contributes towards MAR20318 Certificate II in Maritime Operations (Coxswain Grade 1 Near Coastal).

  • Completion of the Training Account Consent Form - you are required to upload a completed form at the time of enrolment. You can download a copy of the form under the Files & Resources tab below.

    This course is fee free via a joint initiative of the Australian and South Australian Governments and you must meet criteria to be eligible for a fee free place. Eligibility criteria can be found under the Files & Resources tab below.
  • Perform basic servicing and maintenance of main propulsion unit and auxiliary systems (MARB027)

    Operate main propulsion unit and auxiliary systems (MARC038)

    Survive at sea using survival craft (MARF030)

    Plan and navigate a passage for a vessel up to 12 metres (MARH013)

Short Course Delivery Locations Some short courses can provide accreditation for industry-specific registration, while others merely provide skills and knowledge in the subject area. Concession prices are available for some courses.
