Support the Development of Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills (TAELLN501)

Would you like to enhance your skills as a vocational trainer or assessor? This course is designed for you to be able to develop your skills and knowledge in order to support adult learners to extend their language, literacy and numeracy skills within a workplace or community context. This course applies to experienced trainers who provide leadership or guidance to others, and who deal with the language, literacy and numeracy needs of learners for a Registered training Organisation (RTO). It requires a sound knowledge of the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) and skills to extend own practice and the practice of others.

Participants will be provided access to learning resources and assessment material in an online learning environment. Our qualified and experienced TAE facilitators will provide support and guidance through online forums.

Our face to face model includes a 1-day interactive workshop followed by self-paced learning. The workshop will provide an activity-based approach, enabling participants to further develop their skills in using the ACSF, determining LLN demands and skill needs, and implementing training and assessment strategies to address LLN skills needs.

Participants will require access to a minimum of 5 adult learners with whom they will deliver training that addresses identified LLN skill requirements.

Please note that completion of this short course requires additional homework and assessment outside of class time when studied in a face to face format.

  • Participants must have completed Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) or transitioned to TAE40116 and successfully completed TAELLN411 Address Adult language, literacy and numeracy skills.
