Panoramic Imaging

Covering both theory and practical components, this course has been developed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles of panoramic imaging. The course is delivered by subject specialists and includes practical activities supervised by highly experienced and qualified radiographers.

We understand that most practitioners/registrants are time poor and/or live a considerable distance from our campus. To offer more progressive and flexible learning, we have restructured our Panoramic Imaging course to include a blended delivery model, with the majority of study undertaken in an online learning environment.

Our resources have been redesigned into interactive learning modules, including videos and online quizzes, that can be accessed at any time prior to the on-campus component of the course.

After completing the online content in your own time (approx. 6-8 hours learning), you will be able to attend a 3-4 hour practical session at the TAFE SA Gilles Plains campus on a weekend. The on-campus session is designed to consolidate the implementation of theory into the practical skills of taking panoramic films and critiquing your work.

After attending the on-campus session you will be required to submit an assessment that covers the learning materials of the course. You will be required to submit 10 critiqued, satisfactory or better panoramic films that you have taken under licensed supervision in your practice.

Upon successful completion of this course you will be awarded 25 CPD Hours (Clinical/Scientific). You will also be provided with the relevant documentation to apply to the EPA/licencing authority for the OPG condition to be added to your licence.

Please note that login access to the interactive online learning modules will be provided within 2 business days following registration and payment.

  • All students must hold a current intra oral licence. Evidence must be supplied upon request at the time of registration.

Short Course Delivery Locations Some short courses can provide accreditation for industry-specific registration, while others merely provide skills and knowledge in the subject area. Concession prices are available for some courses.
