Health Administration - Infection Prevention and Control


This short course is suitable for those who wish to develop the skills to work as a health administration officer who applies a broad range of administrative tasks in a medical centre or hospital environment.

This course has been designed for those who wish to develop the skills and knowledge required to follow organisational infection prevention and control procedures, including implementing standard and transmission-based precautions and responding to
infection risks.

Topics covered in this course include:
- Follow standard and additional precautions for infection prevention and control;
- Identify infection hazards and assess risks;
- Follow procedures for managing risks associated with specific hazards.

  • Students must have basic literacy and numeracy skills and must be familiar with using a personal computer
  • Comply with infection prevention and control policies and procedures (HLTINF001)
