Description
This 6-week intermediate jewellery course has been designed as a progressive step for students who have completed the Introduction to Jewellery Making course or have some prior skills and experience in making jewellery.
Participants will continue to build on their jewellery making skills and gain additional experience in a range of techniques and fabrication processes; including soldering, basic colouration techniques, designing findings (for example, earring hooks and brooch backs), forming and cold joining methods. Students will design and make a more complex piece of their choice that incorporates these new skills and techniques.
Students are required to purchase their own silver for the projects and your tutor will provide you with the necessary details and information on how to do so. Other affordable options such as brass and copper are available should you choose not to work in silver.
Please bring a sketchbook/notebook, pen and pencil.
