This short course aims to build on your existing skills and teach you advanced techniques to help you to make the most of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
This course assumes that you have intermediate skills of the Microsoft Office suite. It would also be beneficial for you to have a general understanding of personal computers and the Windows operating system environment. If you do not have existing skills and knowledge in the Microsoft Office suite please view our Introduction and Intermediate level short courses under Digital Literacy before enrolling into this course.
The course will cover a range of topics for Word, Excel and PowerPoint:
- Creating templates
- Mail merge
- Creating and printing labels
- Creating Macros
- Linking data between applications
- Conditional formatting
- Linking multiple workbooks
- Data validation
- Pivot tables
- IF function
- Protecting worksheets and workbooks
Four weeks of ongoing support will be available for students to complete the required assessment tasks once you have completed the course.
