Description

TAFE SA courses in technical production give you a great foundation for a professional career in the entertainment, arts, events and related industries. You will collaborate with performing artists on several acting and dance shows each year, and our technical students also work on live music performances.

    Certificate III in Live Production and Services (CUA30415)
    This qualification reflects the roles of Assistant Stage Managers, Design Assistants, Props, Set and Scenic Art Workshop Assistants and Audio/Sound, Lighting, and Staging Technicians.
    They apply a broad range of skills and knowledge in providing technical production and design services for the entertainment, performing arts, concert, film production, festivals and events industries.
    They are required to demonstrate good team skills, consistent performance, reliability and initiative within the scope of their role.
    They work collaboratively with a wide range of other creative and technical personnel under supervision of more experienced personnel.
    Study streams are:

    • Construction including Props, Set and Scenic Art units
    • Design including Props, Set, Scenic Art and Design units
    • Stage Management including Audio/Sound, Lighting, Staging, Props and Stage Management units
    • Technical Production including Audio/Sound, Lighting and Staging units.
      To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 6 core units and 9 elective units.

    Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
