    Course Admission Requirements (for International Applications)

    • Academic IELTS score of 5.5 Overall with minimum of 5.0 in all bands or equivalent.
    • Satisfactory completion of Year 12 or overseas equivalent OR successful completion of the Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building).

    Course Notes

    • Students may wish to complete any of the building Certificate IV programs prior to this 2 year Diploma.
    • Students choosing to complete the package of the Certificate IV in Building & Construction (Building) and the Diploma of Building & Construction (Building) may be able to complete the package within 5 semesters (2.5 years).

    Qualifications & Skills Covered

    Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) (CPC50210)
    Skills covered include safety, project quality and risk, building codes and standards, contracts, costing, structural principles and tender documentation. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 13 core units and 5 elective units.

    Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full Qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.

    Credit Transfer

    You will only receive a joint offer for TAFE SA and University if you apply for a Packaged University Program. If the University course that you have selected is not part of a Packaged University Offers, you will need to apply separately to the University for your selected degree program.

    Studying at TAFE SA is one of the easiest pathways towards a University Degree. Credit Transfer is the formal recognition that parts of a TAFE SA course are equivalent in content and level to parts of some University courses.
