Delivery is through online virtual classrooms. You will need a computer with a camera and reliable internet connection.

You will be working closely with school students and education professionals to provide learning and development support in a school environment.

Additional Uniforms, Equipment and Costs
If you do not hold the following, a current Working with Children Check and Child Safe Environments certificate, you will be required to complete these and will be advised of the associated costs prior to registration. In addition you will be required to purchase the recommended textbook (approx $100).

Mandatory Requirements
You will require a current Working with Children check, a Safe Environments for Children and Young People - Through Their Eyes certificate and a Responding to Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RAN-EC) certificate. Schools and educational services may have their own policies on vaccination. You may need to provide evidence of vaccination.

    Certificate IV in School Based Education Support (CHC40221)
    This course prepares students for working in a range of education support roles. It is most suited to roles which support Teachers in schools, particularly roles which work with children with additional needs and/or with a higher level of responsibility or autonomy. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 13 core units and 4 elective units.

    Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
