Employment Outcomes
Graduates can find employment as data cabling installers. They will be able select, assemble, set up and maintain simple equipment and systems for telecommunications cabling in buildings and premises. NOTE: ACMA Open Cabler registration also requires 600 hours of cabling experience.

Certificate II in Data and Voice Communications
(UEE20720)
You will gain skills in laying and connecting cables for multiple access to telecommunication services, using electric circuits safely, measuring circuit parameters, fault finding simple dc circuits, safely using hand and power tools and fixing and securing equipment. It includes the course work for Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) open cabler registration. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 9 core units and 80 general elective weighting points.
Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
