Attendance Requirements (subject to change)
Full time study is around 20 hours of class time a week with 15 to 20 hours of self directed study. Part time study time depends on the units selected.

Industry Conditions and Skills
You will need some computer skills for this course. If you are studying online, you will need a webcam and the hardware to run the class resources. We recommend the following as the minimum needed; Intel i5 CPU or equivalent AMD, 16GB of RAM, 1Tb SSD, internet access and printer access.

Additional Uniforms, Equipment and Costs

$300.00 (approximate) for 1TB SSD portable hard drive, webcam, and headset with microphone.
You will need access to a computer and a good internet connection as you will be using virtual machines for learning activities and assessments.
Virtual machines are obtained from your campus or the internet.
Virtual machine file sizes vary but are generally above 20GB.

How to Apply
International Course - application process

If you are applying from onshore, generally, you will need to apply for an international course to TAFE South Australia at least two months before you want to start your studies in Australia. If you are applying from offshore it is highly recommended that you apply at least four months in advance.

Live centrally

Accommodation is more affordable in Adelaide than in other cities in Australia making it often possible for students to live in the heart of the city or just outside. This means more time is spent studying and less time travelling.

Adelaide is known for its cafe culture, with more cafes and restaurants by population than any other city in Australia. In recent years, Adelaide has also developed a vibrant and varied bar scene. The city is big enough that you will struggle to visit all of the places you would like to drink and eat in during in your first year of study. Our mix of cultures means there’s likely to be a supermarket that sells food from your home country too.

Easy to get around

Adelaide is a flat city so it is ideal for walking or cycling. Its grid layout makes it almost impossible to get lost! There are free trams and buses around the city centre. International students can show their ID to get cheaper tickets.

Adelaide is known for its festivals, which are famous around the world. WOMADelaide, the Adelaide Festival of Arts, Fringe Festival and Cabaret Festival are just some of the international arts and music festivals that keep the city buzzing
