  • No course admission requirements, however, students wishing to access subsidised training will be required to demonstrate satisfactory reading, writing and numeracy skills

This course is subsidised through the Government of South Australia's Subsidised Training initiative. Assessing your eligibility may include participation in a Language, Literacy and Numeracy pre-assessment. Concessions may apply to Subsidised Training.

Full Fee

Fees vary depending on subjects you enrol into. TAFE SA and their agents reserve the right to make any changes necessary.

    • Reading, writing and numeracy skills are assessed using the Core Skills Profile for Adults (CSPA). This assessment is used to determine whether you will be required to undertake additional support units alongside your qualification or undertake a pathway course before commencing your chosen qualification. If you receive an offer, more information will be provided at your enrolment session.
    • The expectation is that a full time study load equates to approximately 6 hours per week online contact and 6 hours homework per week. Part time negotiable.
    • Students will be required to supply or have access to the following: Autodesk MAYA (free for personal study) Adobe Creative Cloud (approx. $30.00/month); Microsoft Office 365 (approx.$199.00); Broadband Internet connection. Please note, ADSL2+ minimum, is recommended due to the volume of downloading and uploading large files required by the course; Computer capable of running this software: 16GB RAM; Access to a WACOM tablet (between $120-$200) or equivalent, mobile phone with camera and related software for taking photos of design tasks and projects and for documenting design processes; Art Supplies such as pens, pencils, paper (between $50-$100). Details of required items will be made available at time of enrolment.

    Certificate III in Screen and Media (CUA31015)
    This Screen and Media foundation course prepares you for advanced study in design visual effects and post production. Learn skills in industry standard software; 3D Modelling (including MAYA), Photoshop and After Effects. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 3 core units and 8 elective units.

    Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
