    Employment Outcomes

    This qualification covers workers who provide assistance to health professional staff with the care of clients. Health Services Assistance involves the worker in direct client contact under supervision.

    Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.

    Qualifications & Skills Covered

    Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Operating theatre technician) (HLT33115)
    Skills covered include communication, working with diverse people, healthy body systems, infection prevention and control, workplace safety, medical terminology and organisation. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 7 core units and 8 elective units (including 3 specialisation).

    Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full Qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
