This course provided the skills and knowledge for the role of an instructor who performs a range of activities and functions within the fitness industry. Depending on the specialisation chosen, the course provides a pathway to work as an instructor providing exercise instruction for group, aqua or gym programs.

Work independently with some level of autonomy in a controlled environment such as fitness, leisure, aquatic and community centres where risks are managed through pre-existing risk assessment and hazard control processes.

Certificate III in Fitness
Skills covered include health screening, fitness programs, anatomy and physiology, healthy eating, quality service and maintaining equipment. 9 core units plus 7 electives.
Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full Qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
