Employment Outcomes

This qualification covers work as basic level massage therapists. It provides skills in therapeutic relaxation massage including basic health assessment and treatment and may be used by people working: - within a clinic or in their own clinic - in an aged care facility - in a health service - in a spa facility or - in a palliative care facility or hospital

Qualifications & Skills Covered

Certificate IV in Massage Therapy (HLT42015)
Skills covered include client relationships, working with diverse people, first aid, infection prevention and control, massage practice and treatments and workplace safety. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 10 core units and 3 elective units plus you must have completed at least 80 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency.

Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full Qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
