- a pathway to employment and further vocational training;
- reading, writing, oral communication, learning and numeracy skills primarily aligned to Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) Level 1;
- entry level digital technology and employability skills.

Certificate I in Access to Vocational Pathways
This qualification covers reading, writing, numeracy, oral communication and learning skills at Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) Level 1 and entry level digital technology and employability skills. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 7 core units and 4 elective units.
Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
