This course equips you with the knowledge and skills required to provide effective nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The course focuses on developing caring, reflective practitioners who are able to integrate theory with practice, problem solve and work in a collaborative team environment.
Uni Dual Offer Course
You will receive an offer to both TAFE SA and University, with the University offer being conditional on successful completion of the TAFE SA qualification.
You can rest assured you have secured your University offer, pending successful completion of the TAFE SA award.
No further application will be required.
You will receive credit for TAFE SA studies allowing you to complete two awards dependant on the pathway selected.
If accepted, you will receive an offer to TAFE SA and-on successful completion of the TAFE SA qualification-an offer to University with no further application required.

Career opportunities include working as an Enrolled Nurse. Enrolled Nurses are employed across a variety of health care contexts including acute, community, aged care, residential, rural and remote settings.

Qualifications & Skills Covered
Diploma of Nursing (HLT54115)
Knowledge and skills will be developed in areas including communication, cultural diversity, law and ethics, anatomy and physiology, acute and chronic health disorders, clinical nursing skills and medication management.
To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 20 core units and 5 elective units.
- 400 hours of Professional Experience Placement will be required.
Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full Qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
The TAFE SA qualification is subsidised through the Government of South Australia's WorkReady initiative.
To access subsidised training through WorkReady, your suitability to complete the qualification will be assessed. This may include participation in a Language, Literacy and Numeracy pre-assessment.
