Work with babies and children

Working with children at school age or early childhood is a rewarding career choice.

A qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care can prepare you for a career in childcare, preschool or out-of-school-hours care. 
If you’d like to work in a school, assisting teachers in a range of settings, a qualification in Education Support might be for you. You could support students to develop literacy, numeracy and computer skills, or work with students with disabilities.

Playsessions

Playsessions are fun, free, two-hour sessions for pre-schoolers, held at TAFE SA’s Centres for Learning and Practice at Gilles Plains, Elizabeth and Regency Park. Students plan and create a play and learning environment for the children, providing the opportunity to implement their knowledge in a real-world situation.

Playsessions are based on the children’s ages, strengths and interests, and give families an opportunity to share ideas and support their children’s learning, thinking and imagination. Activities include creativity, music and singing, physical play, maths, science and technology.
