Our focus is on promoting exceptional contemporary artists, including emerging artists, recent TAFE SA graduates and our acclaimed lecturing team.

Situated within Adelaide College of the Arts, Light Square Gallery plays an important role in connecting education, creative practice and industry.
The gallery presents a diverse exhibition program and provides opportunities for students, graduates and practising artists to exhibit within a professional environment, while creating opportunities for audiences to engage with contemporary creative practice.
We welcome exhibition proposals from artists at all stages of their creative practice. Whether you’re an emerging artist, an established practitioner, an individual or a group, we’re always interested in hearing new ideas and exploring what could work within the Light Square Gallery space.
We’re also excited to explore the potential of the exterior wall at the entrance to Light Square Gallery as a feature space, showcasing two to three large-scale works and creating an opportunity to spotlight an artist beyond the main gallery.

Light Square Gallery is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all visitors. The Gallery is located within Adelaide College of the Arts.
Adelaide College of the Arts has ramp access from the main building entrances, with automatic doors at both entrances.
Light Square Gallery is located on the Basement Level and can be accessed via two lifts. The gallery entrance is approximately 181.5 cm wide and is suitable for wheelchair and mobility aid access. The Gallery is an open-plan space with timber flooring throughout, with no internal steps or narrow passageways.
An accessible toilet is located near the gallery entrance and is available whenever the Gallery is open. Bench seating is also available outside the gallery entrance and can be repositioned to accommodate individual access requirements.
Paid visitor parking is available behind and directly opposite the campus. Public transport is available nearby, with bus stops directly outside the campus and along Currie Street.
