Certificate III in Visual Arts (focus on photography)


This course focuses on digital photography, post production and creative thinking. Students studying this course will learn the skills required to understand camera settings and control a camera creatively.
Students will learn photographic techniques to produce captivating images, an understanding of design and composition, try different lighting techniques in a real photographic studio and enhance images in post-production using industry standard software such as Adobe Photoshop. The course also includes collaborating on a project, giving a broad understanding of the photographic industry and the job roles within.
Completion of this course will result in a portfolio of images. Students can further their studies by undertaking the Diploma of Photography and Photo Imaging.

Class Schedule: Three (3) terms part time. One (1) day per week – six (6) hours per day. All students must have their own USB or external hard drive. SACE credits may apply. Check with the SACE board.
