Start your own business - Legal, Compliance & Risk


Students in this course would be interested in starting up their own business at some point in the future.  This could entail taking over a family business, buying a business or working for themselves after completion of a traineeship, apprenticeship or further training.

This block looks at the legal and risk requirements and restrictions involved in starting up a small business.  The areas that are covered in this block are:
- Your preferred legal structure
- The legal and regulatory constraints for your structure and business idea
- Setting up at home
- Taxation and insurance
- Compliance and risk minimisation procedures.

This course is one building block of the five that make up the full Certificate III in Micro Business Operations (BSB30315)
