VOCATIONAL PLACEMENT
You will need to undertake vocational placement as part of this course. To do this, you will require a current National Police check and Working with Children Check. If you do not have these checks or clearances, you may not be able to undertake vocational placement. Disability service providers may have their own policies on vaccination requirements. You may need to show evidence of vaccination before starting your vocational placement. Many disability services also require students and/or their employees to hold a current first aid certificate and a driver’s license – this is not included as part of this skill set. Therefore, students are encouraged to attain these prior to seeking employment.

Current Manual Handling evidence is required for placement (current is within the last 12 months). If you do not have evidence of current Manual Handling, you can book into our Manual Handling Refresher course by visiting the TAFE website - www.tafesa.edu.au
