Restaurant 101

Description

Flexible hospitality and customer service skills are always in demand.

This nationally accredited short course has been developed for anyone looking to start their career or refresh their knowledge in the booming hospitality and food service industry.

Throughout the 9-week course you will learn how to make the perfect espresso coffee, prepare and present gourmet sandwiches and other simple dishes, work effectively and collaboratively with others, participate in safe work practices, and more.

Some units will be delivered at the TAFE SA Murray Bridge Campus.

  • Work effectively with others (BSBWOR203)

    Use food preparation equipment (SITHCCC001)

    Prepare and present sandwiches (SITHCCC003)

    Use hygienic practices for food safety (SITXFSA001)

    Participate in safe work practices (SITXWHS001)

    Serve food and beverage (SITHFAB007)

    Prepare and serve espresso coffee (SITHFAB005)

    Prepare and present simple dishes (SITHCCC002)

Short Course Delivery Locations Some short courses can provide accreditation for industry-specific registration, while others merely provide skills and knowledge in the subject area. Concession prices are available for some courses.
